About Becca
Hi, I’m Becca (they/she), and I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a queer, white, able-bodied social worker and somatic (body-based) therapist, currently in my final year of Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) training. My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in a strengths-based, intersectional framework. I view healing through a social justice lens, recognizing the deep impact of systemic oppression on our individual and collective experiences.
My practice is deeply informed by over a decade of Vipassana meditation, which brings mindfulness, Buddhist philosophy, and an emphasis on the mind-body connection into the therapeutic space. I welcome spiritual exploration as part of the healing journey.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a wide range of settings—from wilderness therapy and community mental health to university counseling, teaching, and guiding multi-day hiking trips. These diverse experiences continue to shape my presence and perspective as a clinician.
