Somatic Therapy in Colorado
Social Justice. Embodiment. Transformation.
“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” -Audre Lorde
About Becca
My name is Becca and I use they/she pronouns. I am glad you’re here!
I am a queer, white, able-bodied social worker and somatic (body-based) therapist. As a therapist, I use a collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, intersectional approach. I am dedicated to engaging in therapy through a social justice lens that recognizes the impact of oppressive systems on the human experience.
I have been a Vipassana meditator for nearly the past decade, which informs my work as a therapist. I use mindfulness practices, am grounded in Buddhist philosophy, emphasize the mind-body connection, and invite spiritual exploration into our time together.
My experiences range from wilderness therapy, community mental health, university counseling, teaching, working as a multi-day hiking guide, and adventure tourism.
